Formed in 2017, Underwaves brought to the music scene a mix of alternative metalcore, spiced with melodic and deathcore influences. From the very beginning, the band impressed audiences with a distinct and authentic sound, combining power and emotion in a unique way.
After a year of effort and dedication in 2018, during which the band focused on developing their first discographic material, Underwaves came back stronger than ever, culminating with the release of their debut album “HIATUS” in April 2019. The album was promoted through a series of concerts across the country, marking the band’s presence at major festivals such as Rock’n’Iași Open Air, Rock la Mureș, Barock Fest, Encore Metal Fest, and Rockstadt Extreme Fest, alongside well-known international names.
In 2020, although the pandemic brought unexpected challenges, Underwaves continued to create and reinvent themselves. The band released the single “Ocean” in 2021, managing to perform a series of concerts, including at Posada Rock Festival, where they shared the stage with renowned headliners.
The year 2022 brought the release of the song and music video “Odyssey of Inner Self,” which quickly became a fan favorite, especially due to its explosive energy during live performances. In 2023, Underwaves continued to make their mark on the metal scene with the single “Zero Chance”, a track that turned into a true showstopper, captivating audiences at every concert.
The year 2023 brought the band not only indoor concerts but also appearances at festivals such as Gugulan Rock, where their performances further solidified Underwaves’ status in the Romanian underground metal scene. In 2024, the band stepped up to the next level, performing abroad for the first time and expanding their influence on an international scale.
2025 kicked off with the release of Chapter II, Underwaves’ most ambitious creative video project to date. The track gained significant traction, with high streaming numbers on Spotify and YouTube, frequent airplay on national radio stations, and quickly becoming a fan favorite. This year, the band continues their journey with national tours and international concerts.
Underwaves keeps pushing boundaries, bringing new compositions and an evolved sound to the metal scene. Audiences can always expect a show full of energy and passion, with aggressive riffs and breakdowns combined with catchy choruses that captivate every time they hit the stage.

Road Patrol Open Air este un eveniment pentru Timișoara, un oraș cunoscut pentru bogata sa istorie și semnificație culturală.
Ne place să credem că festivalul, ajuns la cea de-a 21-a ediție, servește ca o continuare a evenimentului Tim-Rock, care
a fost un element de bază al scenei rock românești înainte de 1989.
Desfășurat pe o perioadă de trei zile la poligonul AJVPS, festivalul oferă un amestec unic de muzică de calitate, cultură moto și interacțiune între oameni. Evenimentul include o paradă moto care prezintă frumusețea orașului, și o componentă caritabilă.
De asemenea, festivalul își propune să contribuie la patrimoniul cultural al orașului
prin promovarea muzicii rock, un aspect important al istoriei și diversității culturale a Timișoarei.
